Every battery is built for different purposes - even if it’s only in the wrapping. Here’s a comparison of Energizer Industrial batteries vs. other Energizer batteries and some of their Duracell counterparts.
1) Energizer Industrial batteries vs. Energizer MAX & Energizer Battery Counterparts
So here’s the rub: there is NO difference technically between Energizer Industrial batteries and the Energizer MAX, the standard Energizer battery you’ll find on a shelf at the store.
The only real difference is in the packaging—Energizer MAX comes in normal blister packaging in smaller quantities, and Energizer Industrial batteries come in cardboard boxes. A little less pleasing to the eye, a LOT more pleasing to your bank account.
AA and AAA Energizer Industrial batteries come in 4-packs within the larger package, so you can keep an extra set of batteries on hand much more conveniently over a pocket or pouch.
2) Energizer Industrial batteries vs. Duracell Procell / Industrial Batteries
Duracell Procell batteries and Energizer Industrial batteries are both the “volume” option for their respective commercially available batteries. Just as Energizer Industrial batteries are the volume version of the Energizer MAX, the Duracell Procell is the volume version of Duracell Coppertop batteries you’ll find on the shelf in a retail store.
- The physical size is different. Depending on how the battery and contacts seat within your devices, you may have a harder time with the Duracell Procell. The plastic is a little thicker.
- The Energizer has a touch more amp-hours than a Duracell Procell and many people report a longer lifespan from Energizer Industrial batteries.
Energizer Industrial batteries vs. Duracell Coppertop
Again, there’s only a difference in that one is meant for volume purchase in cardboard boxes (Energizer Industrial) and the other is packaged for standard retail in blister packaging (Duracell Coppertop).
What’s better? Depends on who you ask and where their brand loyalty lies…what we can tell you is if you’re buying bigger quantities you’ll want to go with the Energizer Industrial or Duracell Procell. You get lower prices for the same batteries.
3) Energizer Industrial batteries vs. Energizer Ultimate Lithium
Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries are simply more powerful than normal Energizer batteries or their Industrial versions. They really shine at high discharge currents and are a much more valuable option for many applications.
They can be much cheaper per amp-hour than many top-of-the-line alkaline cells.
The Energizer Ultimate Lithium battery is one of the most powerful batteries on the market and regular/normal alkalines don’t really compete for $$-wise for applications needing big battery power.
